I'm working on ordering a custom tank - between 280 gallons and 340. The top rim will sit at "œforehead" height.
I love the look of rimless tanks, but I'm looking at a floating canopy and don't want fish jumping out, so I was thinking a screen over the top - which makes me think that will defeat any visual benefit of a rimless top.
The bottom trim I'm also assuming will just be mostly covering 1-2" of sand on the bottom, again, making it not worth what I assume will be added cost in thicker glass to go without.
So while aesthetically I like rimless I'm leaning to something like a steel trim (I don't think it has cross bracing).
Anything I'm missing in my thinking?
