Rinsing frozen food

I know that frozen food has a lot of "crap" in it, so I do rinse the food with RO water.

However, I would like to get others opinions on whether they rinse the food one cube at a time or do they do the whole package and then re-freeze.

One cube at a time. I dont think you should thaw and refreeze food. I sure wouldnt do it with the sea food I eat

I don't believe there is any harm in refreezing if it'll be used within a reasonable amount of time. However, you could always store it in the fridge for a few days before it goes bad.

I just throw the food in. Keeping things steady is more important than a little bit of crap in the tank every now and then IMO. Sometimes the snails can keep up with the algae growth. Balance.

I think it's pretty easy to rinse the food, particularly if you get a method down, so to me there's no reason not to. Why add the extra nutrients when we are always striving to remove them?

I just slice off a slice of the cube and drop that in ro/di water. Doesn't take much for the few fish I have. Rest of the cube goes back in the freezer still frozen.
