ripped my BTA!

I was upgrading to a bigger tank today and my BTA's boot was wedged inbetween 2 rocks and when I lifted one of them it ripped a good amount of his boot off. What should I be worried about happening??? :headwally:

This happened to me too when I moved a rock a few weeks ago. Both pieces survived. One piece was completely deflated, but it bubble-up back by the next day. I was running carbon.

i had one of my RBTA's go right into a power head get ripped up into about 3 different pieces, i thought it was dead but now i've got another 2 anemones. one died due to the trauma but the other 2 are fine 10months later.

yeah lol, i personally feel that although all anemones are hard to keep, they are a lot easier to maintain than most people seem to make out, just my experience of course though.

I hope so. I'm about to get into housing some BTAs in my tank and I'm nervous about it.

They are pretty hardy. I bet both will make it. As far as going through a power head tho?? That's crazy. I've always been nervous of one doing that and bombing my little rose bubble farm.

I went to pick up the rock with palys on the left and didn't realize that the nem (which was on the other rock) had part of its foot on the smaller rock with the palys. Before getting the rock out of the water I realize what happended and drop the rock back into place. I ended up with 3 nems a week later. I was very worried that I would have loose the entire nem.
While this was a success story for me, I've also had nems that just melted away and die in my tank. So I'm happy that things worked out well. Good luck with yours.
