I swung by this evening.. everything is 40% off marked prices, except for tanks/stands and salt.. i picked up a couple of things.. they've been open just over a year.. sorry to see them go.

I agree, very unfortunate. They had a nice clean lil store. Although the plaza theyre in was really vacant and all those empty shops and stores didnt help them for trafficing customers in.Oh well, such is life.

it's on the corner of Douglas Blvd and Sierra College behind LaBou. I was there this afternoon and most of all the saltwater livestock is gone. Still lots of freshwater livestock. Some dry goods that would appeal to saltwater people.

Story I got was the shopping center just did not bring in the people. This is a prime example of just how difficult it is to make a go of a LFS.

Location, Location, Location!

Someone's gotta open up in Elk Grove. Soon as that mega mall's up, all they have to worry about is staffing.

Hello, and thanks for the nice words. My name is Mike and I'm the Manager hear at Riptide. I just wanted to say thank you for the support to those of you that have been to the store. Unfortunetly the plaza that were located in isnt excatly condusive to sales. Just to let you all know, we are now selling our used skimmers and power compact lights for great blow out deals among other used goods.....Again, thank you for the kinds words, and best wishes to everyone here at reefcentral and those of you mars members.
