RO/DI only to start large tank?

I'm getting conflicting feedback on what type of water should be used when filling a large reef tank...RO/DI only? Tap water ok? Obviously RO/DI would be best, but would probably take a month to fill a large tank.

Looking for some feedback on what you guys have used to get your's started...

Please keep in mind I have a small tank now, so using an RO/DI unit to fill did not take long at all. Not looking to step into the big league just yet lol

Start with all RO/DI. It will not take a month to fill, assuming your filters are in good condition (and your incoming water pressure and temp. are close to what the membrane "wants") it will only take a couple few/days.
