hey guys. i am going to purchase a ro/di unit. i have a 25 gallon tank. which unit do you think would be best for me, and are they easy to install and use?
Depending how much money you have to spend you can look into getting a Kent. I have a Kent Hi-S and it works beautifully. I have had it for about six months and it still puts out 0 tds without replacing anything. I know they are a bit expensive but they are excellent quality and IMO when it came to water quality, I wanted the best.
If you don't have that much money you can find good ones on e-bay or airwaterice.com and buckeyefieldsupply.com
and do these just connect to your faucet? or do i have to install a bunch of plumbing. i am no good with that kind of stuff, so i am looking for the easiest installation and usage solution with the best quality of water.

Look at the units at www.airwaterice.com . They use Dow Filmtec membranes and only require 50 psi. At least one of the other units mentioned above requires 65 psi to produce the same amount of water and with a lesser quality. Spectrapure is the Cadillac of RO/DI hands down. Kent is also pretty good but both are a little more expensive and probably only necessary if you have problem water like high silicates, nitrates or phosphates. Thats where the "Hi-S" comes in.
