RO/DI units

Ok, I am in the process of upgrading and though I love the convenience of LFS water I did the figuring and I will be spending quite a bit of money for water changes. I am in the market for an RO unit but, I have some limitations of what I can do in my condo.
First question I guess is: Can I get a unit that is only rated for no more than 20gpd?
Also: Can I get a unit to attach to a sink?
I would only need it for water changes and top off, and I would have to fill 5g buckets for that. I have 3 sinks in the house and a washer unit but I the utility room is too small for any drum or trash can.
Not at all knowing anything about RO/DI units I need the scoop.

I'm in a condo also but without anyone above or below me. It's more like a sandwiched house... I took my wall from the sink in the kitchen up through a wall to the attick and then down to the tank... I could have placed mine under the sink but I wanted more then 5 gallons of water...

They make units with sink hook ups. YOu don't need to go small on your RO/DI unit. You just make what you need and shut it off when not necessary.

I know spectrapure makes a sink hook up, I am sure water general and others will have an adapter too.

I wouldn't get anything less than a 75gpd unit...just doesn't make sense longterm....especially for the size tank you are looking at....that said, just call the guy at this company and he will fix you up proper and affordable-like:

I prefer 50 gpd membranes as they have the best rejection rate and cleaner water going into the expensive DI which makes it last longer.

Any company has a faucet adapter available and you can also make one from parts at Lowes.

I agree that www.thefilterguys.com would be the best place to go. Although I know sirreal63 has been in this hobby for 1000's of years and I highly respect his opinions I think I would have to disagree with his statement that 50gph has the best rejection rate. The 50gpd has a 98% rejection rate as does the 75gpd however anything over the 75gpd that I have seen so far to date does not have a 98%. The 100, 125 and 150 has a poor rejection rate.

:D Hi there Jack you old fart!! :eek2:
