RO output question

Can I place my filter system under my kitchen sink and run the DI output through my cabinets through a wall and up and over into a garbage can?

I dont knwo what the output pressure will allow and am just getting some perspective.

Thanks as always

I don't know about anyone else, but my RO-DI unit just kind of trickles, I don't think there would be enough pressure, at least not for my unit. Hopefully some other people will chime in soon :)

I have the ebay unit with the 4 gallon pressurized storage container. I ran about 20 ft of hose to get it to my icebox. I have great pressure at that distance. I am thinking of running a second line back to my tank room which would be about 40 ft of hose. Like I said though I do have the 4 gallon pressurized storage tank so I am not sure if a unit without would have enough pressure.

How many ft of tubing will you be using to reach your destination. I have heard of people going further than the 40ft I plan but I can not remember where I read that.

I will be running maybe 30 feet.

Correct me if i am wrong but the pressure tank is the key to making thse long runs? Will it be able to make the climb into a trash can?

Sounds like I am going to get to play around with it a whole bunch when it arrives this week.

I think you will be fine. Mine goes down into my basement runs about 15 ft then climbs up about 3 - 4 ft to the back of the fridge.

As far as the pressure tank goes, my only experience is with the tank but as I think about it. If my RO system has enough pressure to force water into a pressurized tank then it should have enough pressure to make a pretty considerable run without a pressurized tank. Just a theory.
