RO reservoir question

what are you using as an RO reservoir as you are making it?
I have a brute can with float cut off. The problem is that i travel and the neighbor and GF are showing no aptitude for anything reef related. I might change to something if it is more simple and spill proof.

the brute works very well, it was what I used before I mounted a reservoir in my attic. Right now I have a 100 gallon tote that I got at a local plastic shop with a float valve mounted in it, and a bulkhead in the bottom with a hose coming down with a valve on it so I can use it to fill up my mixing can's or the tanks directly.

i have mine completely automated. a small ~2g rubbermaid with a float valve that is connected to the RO. RO is on a timer so it only comes on once a day for 15 minutes to refill it all at once and not have to make just a few drops at a time as the dosing pump handles topoff.

I have two 18 gallon buckets, with uniseals and pvc with ball valves coming out of each. The first bucket, placed higher, has a float valve in it. This way I have 36 gallons at some times, and 18 gallons always.

Heres a bad Pic:

The float valve hasn't been installed yet, in that picture.

I use a 55 gallon plastic drum, float valve installed at the top to auto shut off the RO/DI unit. On the bottom i have 2 bulkheads, one goes to a MAG7 to fill up a 35gallon drum i make saltwater in, the other goes through a john guest valve then to a float valve in my sump that opens up when evaporation hits during the day... it makes top offs a thing of the past....

Thanks for the input. I think since i have the float I will use it on the brute and another brute to mix with. Not sure if I will connect them though. I like Jasen's idea of a bulk on the drum with a pump to the next drum.

3 gallon pressurized tank hooked to ro unit. ro unit turns on when the thing emptys to about 2 gallons and refills it.
the pressure tank is also hooked to a solonoid and a electronic float switch. planing on installing a back up float switch soon and solonoid
