I thought this was interesting and wanted a second opinion , as mine is sometime faulty and I have been known to be wrong about a thing or two a time or two. So after talking to a chemist friend of mine.. this friend of mine makes his living off of RO units on a major scale so his word I think is as good as you can get on the subject.
This is what we came up with....
The RO will reject the flouride because the RO membrane is negatively charged and since flouride is negatively charged it would be rejected and sent off through the waste. So Fluoride will not be provided in that water. IMO
Usually I would suggest against anyone consuming Ro/DI water over any length of time simply because if the unit does what it is intended there will be nothing of any substance left in the water good or beneficial. With that said , the formula will more than likely provide the calcium and magnesium needed to balance things out.
