RO unit question

Hello everyone, I have a coralife RO unit thats rated for 24 gallons per hour but its pumping out about double that. Also it seems like the RO water (coming out of the blue tube) is coming out faster than the waste water (red tube) is this possible? The unit is almost brand new I only used it to fill up my tank (46 gallons) and top off the water twice. Thanks for any help.

most ro/di run 4-1 ratio so the waste water should be comming out 4x faster
did you test the water
is the water pressure up to high

Sounds like the membrane is not seated properly in the housing. What are the TDS readings and what exactly is the waste ratio, pressure and temperature?

how do you measure the 4-1 ratio, i just got mine today also and installing this weekend. Just have a fill a glass race?

Use a measuring cup or other graduated device to measue the water and a watch or clock to time it. Time the flows from one line then the other for a minimum of 5 minutes to get a good representation. You should be seeing about 4 times as much flow from the waste line as from the product or good line. You can also gauge what your GPD truly is this way. There are 1440 minutes in a 24 hour period so just calculate it out.
