Hi, My name is Robert and this is my four foot 180 build thread.

I am a small remodeling contractor in the Lodi/Stockton Area in Ca. I have been in the hobby for 5 or 6 years now but i just got serious about a year ago when i got this tank. In the last six months have been having very good success and feel i have got a system that is working well now.

The tank is a 4'x3'x2' cell cast acrylic Truvu that i had to do a lot of work to. At first the tank had only 1 the left overflow and the opening at the top was 2 small openings. so i added a 12''x 3'' overflow to the right side and cut the top open to have one opening, witch i later cut again to make it as large as i could. (the pic below is after the first cut).

I could not wait to build a stand for the tank but as a highly skilled finish carpenter i have plans for this stand and canopy to make people drool. the stand now is just a frame to later work around with some beautiful Hardwoods. The stand is designed to hold just over 25g of water before i have wet floors. I will keep this thread up to date with all progress made but this is what i have now....

Damn dude, you've got skillz!

Love everything so far... I have the same dimensions on my new beast!

I was thinking that skimmer looked like one I'd seen before, then I read your signature ;)... the DIY looks fantastic! Merry Xmas!

all the equitment and the sump as of today. I ran out of room in a 31 inch stand so i put the sump out of the stand.
