Rock Anemones

LOL No, it wasnt purchased. It was found while collecting. Sy also found another one, but its not as pretty. It is at a weird angle in my tank and is hard to photograph, but Ill try to today.

Hes still pretty small only about a inch and a half across, wait till hes full grown!

It was cool catching the white one too, tho he doesnt look near as pretty.

you didnt take the rock with the anemone did you? Any rock in water in the state of florida is considered live rock and is highly illegal. just looking out.

No, he didnt take the rock. We got them home and put them on a rock from my tank.

The purple one was easy to get off the rock, a little bit of air and he let go, the white one however was on a rock that was stuck in the ground, so I had to work a little bit to get him off safely and make sure not to hurt him.

Thanks for the lookout thor, we are aware of the rules, but very good info for people who may read this and are not aware.

Just a note, neither of the anemones suffered any damage during the collecting, and are looking very awesome in the tank!

I will try some tonight, its currently in my wifes tank, so you would be getting a full tank shot of hers.

Its going in my 55 eventually but its not ready for him yet. I'll get her to post some pics of my new 55 setup on the stand we made. The canopy isnt done yet tho. It has half the liverock in it, and the rest will most likely come next weekend. Oh yeah my 55 is a TBS tank, so i cant wait to see how it turns out.

Sy, In the rock that leaned up against the overflow, you have ATLEAST 2 of those serpent stars. That is the same rock where the mantis is. He is blocked in by plexiglass : ) Forgive some of the blurry pics. Im all riled up from trying to catch the mantis, and I couldnt keep a steady hand.

And Im adding another pic from my tank because i love it!
