I'm thinking some type of sponge?
What you you guys think?

Probably colonial tunicates (do you see in/out spouts?)

otherwise maybe a sponge.

I've got the same things in my tank, but they're pink and purple. I thought they were a sponge too.

Well seems to be unanimous (sp?). Do any of you have any further info as to what species?

i have asked the experts myself, the best i could come up with is a Clathrina coriacea. however, even a sponge expert will tell you its impossible to tell what kind of sponge it is without looking under a microscope. even then its not easy, and sometimes still impossible to ID. just know its safe, and slow growing.
