rock question

I have a question about rock. When I buy my cured rock, does it matter if I have any light on it while its cycling? I was going to buy my rock and stick it in my tank, and as the tank is cycling, get my lighting fixture. Is that alright, or should I get my lighting fixture first, than add rock?

You can cycle the tank without the lights and add them later.
