Rodi brand new filters but still getting a high reading on a Dual inline TDS METER

Have a question for ya! I just changed all of my filters on my RODI, i have a sediment filter, 2 Carbon filters, DI and a membrane...I hooked up my Dual Inline TDS Meter with the Inline before it hits the membrane and my reading is 23 and 43 for the outline after it goes through the DI into my tank. How is this possible? It's normally always zero after coming out of the DI.. What are your thoughts especially since all the filters are BRAND NEW?

You replaced the filters, but is the DI resin new? If not, might want to change it out and see if that doesn't help. When DI resin is depleted, it can actually leach contaminants back into your water making it worse than it was going in.

If your water is really 23 before the RO membrane then you should get around 4500/gal of water or more out of your DI filter. First I don't find inline meters to be very reliable. Handheld is the way to go IMO. If the reading is true then you have a DI issue. As the above poster asked, did you change out he DI resin? If not, it may be all used up and leaching out stuff.
When you get new filters you really should run each one separately for a few gallons to get any of the junk left over from the manufacturing process out of them. Of course, don't run pure water thru the DI or you will use it up quick, just run a few gallons of RO water thru it.
Did you change out your RO membrane also? If you did, make sure it is working correctly. Get a tds reading after the membrane and before the DI filter. If your water is really 23 then your reading after the membrane should be around 1.

Did you follow a rinse up procedure with each of the new filters?

After the rinse up process, did you allow the system to run long enough to get past the TDS creep water before you took your reading?

Do you have the TDS meter probes correctly rotated in the quick connect tee's?
