RODI Connectivity

I had a plumber tee into my house water supply line to feed the RODI. He installed a brasscraft ball valve. I purchased a brass compression fitting at the hardware store to connect RODI tubing but I have tried making this connection twice and it's leaking from where the tubing enters the nut. Is there a better fitting I can use here?

Did you put the brass ferrule inside the tubing so that when the compression fitting is tightened it doesn't distort the tube?
As shown here..

Good picture posted above. must follow that order. also make sure the tubing is cut perfectly straight. Also, is your waste water line connected to the supply? ( red tube )

My fitting didn't come with the ferrule... tube definitely was distorted when tightened... thanks for the great picture.

Water lines are hooked up correctly, i have switched out the tubing many times over the years from what originally came with the unit, I guess I didn't follow the rules about what color tubing to use where lol

Go back to the hardware store.. They sell those ferrules by themselves..
There are also plastic crush collars to if you want which can be better..

The copper crush collar/no ferrule is for hard copper tube...
