RODI problem

i have a bulk reef supply 5 stage plus today i changed my filters and then i changed the DI resin.... i went to go use it and now i have no water coming out of the hose but i have pressure still... i turn the water on and the pressure goes up to around 60 psi but no water comes out of the hose. any ideas?:headwalls:

Assuming you didn't change any hoses around and If everything was ok before you changed the filters, don't take this the wrong way, take the filters back out and make sure all the plastic was removed from them. Which ever one in line that did not fill with water is the culprit. If none filled with water it is the sediment filter. If all of them refilled with water after you changed them out then the output float valve could be stuck closed.

i took off all the plastic i even took them all back out to make sure no plastic got stuck... can you pack the DI to much? i did pack it pretty tight.... and if not then wheres the output float valve? i didnt even know it had one :/

Sorry, normally if you are filing a container, you would have a float valve of some sort to shut off the water when the container is full. So lets start at the beginning and make sure all valves are open and if you have a solenoid anywhere that it is plugged it. I don't think its possible to to pack the resin tight enough to block water from coming through. It is possible that resin is loose in one the lines blocking it up. You may have to test one line at a time to figure where the water is stopping. Did all/any of the filters fill with water when you turned it back on after changing the filters?

well i did pack it in pretty good and i pushed it down with a beer bottle (mr.saltwater tank trick) so i really dont think any go out and blocked a line.... im off tomorrow and im going to take them all out and turn it on and see if water comes out. IF not then theres a block in the line somewhere... if it comes out then im going to have to go one by one and see what happens... I dont get it though. its pretty self explanatory on how to get the new filters in. and like i said all for chambers fill with water so im lost here

So if all the chambers are full of water the blockage has to be after or at the DI resin. The only places to check after the DI are the RODI discharge and the waste water discharge. If either are blocked, it would cause this. A good way to test if packing the DI is causing the problem is just remove the DI cartridge. If water flows, you have your culprit. I haven't had to chance to try the beer bottle thing; no beer bottles. :)

found it..... bulk reef supply stamped the DI resin container wrong... it says put this end up... so naturally i did... NO water.... i flipped it around and now i have water. thanks for your help by the way
