So I just read an old disturbing thread.
I make my water in a bathroom sink my attaching to a faucet. I turn the faucet on to get to around 75 degrees and check frequently to make sure I don't go above 78 degrees.
I just read you shouldn't do it this way. I've been doing this for almost 6 months. My TDS meter reads zero still. But sounds like I'm doing this wrong. Should I just have it turned all the way cold? It's a single handle faucet that doesn't distinguish hot/cold.
I don't want to tap into pipes. Id change the faucet if need be. But if the water going into the system is 75 degrees or less what is the issue? If I caused harm to the unit wouldn't my TDs read higher than zero? If I use really cold water there will be a lot more waste and take a lot longer.
Thoughts?
Thanks for the advice.
Steve.
