Rodi when not being used

Do you empty out the canisters with the remaining water when not using the unit.. also I put the membrane in the fridge since manufacturer stated to do so if not being used within 4 wks.. I think I made enough water to last me 2 months

Never heard of any of that. Mine just sits where I keep it 24/7. Turn the water on to make new water, turn it off and leave it when done.

one more that just lets it sit. i do make sure to flush the membrane before filling up though, the length of time depends on how long it sat.

I only make a small amount every week, mix and use in 24 hours, rinse and dry the container, otherwise I get a film on the sides of my bucket, which appears to affect the TDS

my preference is not to store large amounts of water for any length of time. there's not really a need, and it's possible that RODI can suck up TDS from the air or the container it's in if it sits around.

i leave my unit wet. typically it gets used once a week to make enough for my weekend water change and top off.

i have it so that i have to screw the supply line on to the faucet whenever i'm making water. when i'm done, i unscrew the supply line, but otherwise leave the unit untouched.
