Roge crab need input

I have a sally lightfoot crab that has gone roge on me in the last week. It has done a real number on my stylo colony.

I need to figgure some way to trap this menace. This guy is lightning fast any ideas on how to build a trap? If it comes to it I may just dose the tank with intercepter and see if that kills him.

I had one that was killing fish. I caught it by putting a glass jar leaning up against the rock with a piece of one of the dead fish in it. Once he went in I had to grab it quickly because he nearly got out.

Yea I was thinking something like that. Or perhaps some type of netting that he would get tangeked up in when ge goes for the bait.

A glass with a piece of fish in it. Worked like a charm to catch a nasty 3 inch hitchhiker crab I had.

That's what i'm thinking. Only problem is that it would probably nuke my porcelian crab and skunk cleaner shrimp.

make a trap out of pvc, fishing line and food as bait. You'll have leave it the tank for awhile so he gets use to it but it works. PM me if interested

I used 2.5 or 3 inch pvc. I maked it long enough that I could pull it out before the animal could escape. I closed one end with clear plastic so the tube didn't seem as threating, and so i could see it. I use crazy glue to attach. I drilled holes in the sides so the water would flow out when I pulled it out. I made the hole pretty big. I drilled a hole in the open end side to attach the fishing line. I left my trap in my tank for two weeks and only pull it out to put food in it. Once the crab or whatever gets use to going in to feed pull it out. If you miss try again another day. I caught a pygmy angel this way.

Clear plastic cup with fishing line tied to end. Bait the cup and place on it's side. Crab walks in to cup just pull the string and he will be trapped. Bet you will catch him in 5 minutes. Good luck.
