Well after winning the t-5 fixture last night I had to hook it up. I finally have control over the actinic and daylight bulbs! 8 x 54 watt t5s. Yay! Fixture is in the middle. It's the nova 4 bulb

the retro is ran by an icecap. Also they're all 10K bulbs. Inside the nova fixture are all actinic. That way I could control the actinics. With my icecap it was either all on or all off. Now i can turn the actinics on and then the daylights.

Also, I've read before that the icecap will overdrive the t5 lights to about 80 watts a piece. don't know if its true or not. I'm mostly keeping softies thought, just starting to get into the sps. heres some full tank shots.

See the little clown in there?

The light fixture fit perfect, very nice! the mesh I got from an online bar supply, they use this silicone mesh to lined the bar sinks so the glasses could be place to dry with out a risk for the to slip and break.

Wow looks great keith. It's great that you can have the icecap T5s on one ballast for daylight, then the actinics in the Nova, since the nova won't give you great direct growth light, mostly color, so it works out well like that.
