Roll on paint for tank background?

I've pulled the trigger on a custom 135 visio; standard 135 but flipped on it's side so it's 2ft wide and only 18" high. I was so excited to get the tank up on its stand upstairs that I completely forgot to paint the background. and I dont really want to call everyone whom helped move it the first time just to fix my error and paint it outside. So I need to paint it while its on the stand.

Question is: Iv'e got Behr Premium plus Interior Flat (Mate Interior) Acrylic paint on hand from my last project. Was wondering if this paint will work if rolled on multiple layers thick; and will this paint stand up to the bulkhead being tightened.. or do I need to buy exterior oil based paint?

Should work. Oil based paint is less likely to stick on glass. With ANY paint be as gentle as possible with the nut on the bulkhead. I always paint the back of my tanks and then cover it with wide masking tape. The tape will protect the paint from chipping and normal wear and tear from equipment scratching the back. Will not interfere with the water tightness of the bulkheads as it actually sealed form the inside (as you are aware). The only problem is if the back of your tank is visible from other parts of the room it doesn't look to nice with the tape. Works like a champ.

I didn't have a problem when I used latex and acrylic.
