So have have a 140 gal mature tank, live rock, pinktail trigger, blue jaw trigger and two bullet head gobies. Decided to add a rose bubble tip and a couple of ocellaris clowns. Anenome is doing great. First day we added the two clowns, one died right in front of the anenome. Was fine in QT. immediately got another for the remaining male and QT'd again. QT is small - 20 gal. Put in DT and now both clowns are no where to be seen. Thought maybe they were intimidated by the size since they were captive bred. It's been 4 days. Water parameters are good. Everyone else is thriving. My research led me to believe this mix would be okay-ish, although the triggers were a risk. First go around the triggers completely ignored the clowns, maybe gave me false hope? Any chance they are still alive? Haven't seen any skeletons. No ammonia spike. They haven't been spotted coming out to eat. :/

I don't have an answer to that.. GL!

in the future, an observation box might be helpful in your situation. When my tank gets packed or I put in an aggressive fish, I put all new fish into an acrylic box inside the tank for a few days. Drill the box so water flows through. You can get a pretty good idea on how welcome your new fish are.
