round stingray

My stingray (3" wide) just recently acquired two brown spots that seem to be imbedded into his skin. anyone know what this is, or has anyone observed the same? Thanks

I know I can't help, but everyone is going to ask you for your water specs,tank size, pictures, species name, so on. good luck man.

good call. My tank is 180gallons. It is a round stingray and the brown spots are 1/16" in diameter. Yesterday he only had 2, now he has 6. They appear to be embedded in the skin. My water parameters are excellent. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Pictures would help. I'm assuming it's a California Round Ray? What is your water temperature? They are a cool water species.
