I'll tell you in a week! I JUST hooked mine up about 10 min ago...my phosphates were really high so I am going to change the media monday then again friday just to get out as much as possible! They told me It wasnt going to help with the nitrates though...more water changes for htat!

my phosphate is undetectable, since running a phosban reactor with phosban. ive had a big drop in algae, and its stopped growing since.

A refugium will do a great job bringing down your nitrates if you can add one. even a hang on the back would do wonders.

of course, a few big water changes and a good skimmer can also keep this in check.

phosphate removers work pretty good. Phosphate will go way down real quick. I won't run my tank without a phosban reactor or equivelant any more. Good luck, Kevin

bawla47, how are things in Strongbaddia these days?

I am wondering how much flow do you guys have going through your Phosban Reactor? Right now I have mine where its going from my sump about a foot and a half up to my UV then into my phosban reactor and the flows in to the refugium. The only thing is that when he showed me the ones set up on the tanks at Exotic Aquatic, his matterial was moving a lot more then mine! Mine is barely even moving. Any indeas on this?? Do I need a stronger pump?

low low flow is a lot better ............... good look

the phosban in the reactor, is suppost to be tumbling slowly only on the top surface, anymore and it could break down the phosban,"iron oxide?" and cause problems in your tank.

i have about 50 gph going through mine i believe.

i seen an article on reefcentral where they scientifically tested. i think rowaphos had a tiny bit better scores, but not worth the price difference IMO

ill try and find it
