Royal Gramma biting my Regal Tang

Always something interesting under the sea. Today my Royal Gramma bit and held onto my Regal Tang's tail!!! They are in QT right now and while I was watching them the Tang went into the Gramma's spot and made him mad enough that he bit her tail and wouldn't let go for about 3 seconds as the Tang was trying to swim away with him still hanging on ha ha. Good times

I've had a gramma and a regal tang in the same tank for over 3 years. The gramma was there first, and when I added the tang, there were confrontations for several days. Since then, they've gotten along fine -- they basically ignore each other. I've read other reports about these two species not getting along at first -- seems to have something to do with the fact that their coloration schemes are similar.

Yea, in the display they are fine together, as well as in the QT. Just every now and then the Gramma will get ****ed about something and chase. But other than that I've seen them following each other all the display with each other. Guess the QT is a little close for comfort... I'd be like that too...
