Royal Gramma's

Hey everyone,

I have a 180 gallon DT and I am just about to add my Clownfish to the tank from QT which means it's time to move to the second fish on my list which just happens to be the Royal Gramma.

So I was hoping to keep 3 of them in my tank but I am not sure if they will coexist. They also would have to be in a 40br for a 6 week QT. So I know people have kept more then one and I was hoping to get some tips for success.

And if I can't do three it's not the end of the world.

Thanks
Dave

It would be pretty rough to keep more than one male. If you want to keep more than one, get small ones to let one develop into a male.

I got 6 small ones from a FL harvester for my 190. Three months later 4 are still alive and doing fine with no aggression issues. The other 2 went MIA after adding to the display from the quarantine tank. All were eating fine and seemingly in good health. If you do a search on RG, it seems common that people loose one or two when adding a group.
