It's very hard to determine what exactly cause RTN to occur, which makes it so frustrating.
I've heard of corals RTN'ing from alk swings, temp swings, PO4 issues, etc. My point is that there are a number of things that it could be but no one really knows why this occurs.

My parameters are the reason for my rtn. My calcium was 500+ and my KH was 16+. My reactor wasn't totally dialed in, and now I am paying the consequences. Thanks for the link!
