Running Fans

How long should I run my fans in my canopy? Should I run them all day or just when the tank starts to get warm? What do you guys do?

i run them as long as my lights are on.. and then for 1 hr after..

I leave it up to my AC JR. When the temp is a degree or two over the seasonal average, it turns the fans on.

I wish I had a AC JR to do it for me:sad2: . But until I can save up enough money I'm just going to have to do it my self.

I also need to figure out a auto top for my sump too. Any ideas?

Ok so this might be a dumb question but I notice that I have been looseing water in my sump. Is that just evaporation? If so I can just add fresh water right? I just want to make sure so my salinity isn't jumping up and down. Man I'm going to have to top off alot. I have already topped off twice to day.

Yes, you should be adding fresh RO/DI water to your sump. I wouldn't get too worried about topping it off every time you see any change in water level. I usually top mine off once a day.

get an aquatronica.. it can ATO by itself....
