Hey everybody, was wondering if some of you could give me some pics or sketches of ur large sumps made of acrylic or glass aquariums and how you plumbed them. i am planning on at least a 100 gal custom acrylic sump that i will have a plastics store build me and I have read everything on Melevs site and still have questions about a sump for my 300g project tank.
I will have a center external overflow that will be 23 in and two 1.5 in holes to the sump?(according to the RC calc) does this sound right?
If so, then how many outlet holes should i have?
I am leaning towards a dart for return using spaflex tubing, but am afraid the dart will be to strong of a return pump in i want only a 5X turnover in my sump or less, as i have read thats the recomended gph for a sump(2x-5x)
what other return pumps should i consider?
i know its alot of questions, but hope some of you can answer them as best you can.
