sac like things under my mushroom

There are sac like things under one of my mushrooms. They seem to enlarge themselves and then I was able to see that there is a white thing in each sac, and after a bit they 'shrink' back down again. When they are enlarged they kind of fold the mushroom in half, and then when they shrink again the mushroom goes back to looking normal.

Does anyone know what this could be?

Thanks.

You most likely have something common in your aquarium, and the description is just what is delaying the identification.

Bust out your inner Shakespeare and give us a good description or snap a picture. :)

Probably something like this that I can't seem to figure out either.

I have a jawbreaker and some rhodactis that also do this. The sacs in my tank are connected to the foot of the mushrooms. When they retract they look like a normal part of the base. I have not been able to determine if its a stress reaction, happy reaction, infection or if they are getting ready to split. The jawbreaker's sacs inflate once or twice a week and have done so for about two months. No babies or death, so I am just monitoring now.

Weird I looked mine over again last night and today. He appears to be splitting. Starting at the mouth laterally towards one side. Maybe I'll have two soon...

The sacs in the picture, are just the foot of the shroom. Sometimes they expand to large sizes, especially when it itsn't attached to anything.

Sometimes that happens when they want to move and are slowly detaching. Discomas also like to leave part of the foot behind when they split so it could just be splitting.

+1
This is exactly what happens when my mushrooms move and a little piece stays behind to grow into another.
