safe cleaner?

I have a coral skeleton that needs cleaned. What is safe to clean it with?

I know that most people use a 50 to 1 solution (water-bleach) sprayed on to the coral with a spray bottle and then soaked for a few days in a bucket with water and declorinator. I prefer to use my power washer with only presurized water that I use to wash my cars for the big pieces and often (when the wife isnt home) put the smaller pieces in to the dishwasher without any soaps or chemicals. While my stuff my not be as bright as the bleached stuff, I know there isnt a chance of something unwanted leaching back into the tank.

I think my wife would be more surprized by the fact that, I know how to use the dishwasher in the first place.

I just soak stuff in white vinegar for about a half hour and brush it off with an unused toothbrush and it cleans it up pretty quick. I've never done it on coral skeletons tho, so i dont know if it'd work, but i use that on all my pumps and it works great.

Is it coraline that you're trying to get off? If so, vinegar works very well on that.

Best thing I found to do is take them out and rinse them with the hose and then let them sit in the sun for a couple of days. They will be good as new...well not new becasue there dead, but you know what I mean.

oh, the cyano comes off pretty easy anyways. You may be able to get it off w/just a rinse under the hose/sink.
