Safe detritivore in a Predator tank?

I want to put something in the tank that will do some cleaning on the sand. Obviously small snails like narcissus will be food quick. Would a serpent star or something like that be okay? I have a snowflake eel, lion and H. Husk in there.

i have a yellow head sleaper goby in with my puffer picasso trigger lion and a 10" male sunset wrasse that is the meanest fish i have ever owned and i have had no problems but the eel is cause for concern.

How about a regular hermit crab? I had one of those with my lion as well as a long spined urchin. They both did a great clean up and nothing bothered them.
Reefaddiction, how do your trigger, puffer and lion get along? What types exactly? I am looking at doing the same.

Yeah, had one of those.....about 7" and beautiful. MEAN! Took it in. Did this to my trigger: more than a scratch, actually a gouge.

Remember you'll need to keep nitrates low to keep the inverts mobile and alive.

heholy cow that is quite a scratch, since mine has been at the lfs on hold he has killed a yellow tang, a grouper, and has beaten the crap out of everything including a monster assasi trigger that is about 12" long.

jelwyoming, the puffer is newer to the tank and it is a odd colored dalmation you can see it in my gallery, the trigger is a small picaso aprox 3", and the lion is a good sized volitan body is about 5-6 inches no problems so far my red sea sail fin keeps everyone in check.
