Does Home Depot carry a silicone safe for aquarium? Need to make my sump and a few other things so need a large container of it.

yes its called GE windows and doors silicone I. Make sure it doesnt have the bioseal label on it. GE type II used to be the best, but no longer make it without the bioseal. good luck.

homedepot dosn't carry it but lowes does and in the paint section near the glue's the aquarium silicone called dap. small tubes but if you are securing something than that's the key if your lfs dosn't have any.

I got mine at home depot. It is the silicone I and it comes in a blue and white tube....NOT the RED...It is DOOR and WINDOW...

glass to glass. i will get the windows and doors stuff. much cheaper than buying the all glass stuff, and i'm going to need alot. going to put silicone bead around cutting board to help prevent debri getting under it

very cool - i had a hell of a time getting glass cut to fit it perfect and ended up using acrylic instead. you just have to reinforce the acrylic and then it doesnt move.

Just measure the distance between and take a 1/4 inch off. You don't want the glass to touch imo. That way when pressure is on it, it has less of a chance to bust the other piece.

FWIW, I've used both types of silicones in my tank and the one with the mold inhibitor does not cause any issues at all. I know many individuals who have used it before. I believe this to be a myth.
