Salinity calculation/hypo in qt

Hey!

Dropping salinity of a regal tang in a 20G QT, currently at 1.026. I'd like to drop it to 1.015.

At what rate should I drop it daily?

How much fresh water should I change to achieve that rate?

(or is there a calculator that helps me?!)

I was surprised to learn about a month ago that dropping salinity, as long as it's constant, can be pretty quick.

I was going Hypo in my QT by lowering it about 2 or 3 points a day, but after I learned that fish can handle it, I went from 1.024 to 1.010 in about 72 hours. Just try to decrease a little bit a few times a day instead of any big changes at once and you'll be good.

I did this quicker rate of hypo to a 2" hippo tang. If he could take it, I bet most fish wouldn't have a problem at all.
