Salt creep caused bleaching

A small pc of Salt Creep fell off my overflow and landed on my Pink Monti. Cap. This happened yesterday and I blew it off with a bastor.......it caused it to bleach in that spot. kinda like it burned it!!!

as stated in bornemans book(this is off the top of my head, may not be exact) "montiporas have deep set polyps which are resistant to bleaching"

i had an acro that fell on a monti. it was back to normal within a week.
