Salt question

(I tried to use the search function to get an answer to my questions and could not get results to save my life)

What kind of salt is the best for the reef aquarium use?

My LFS told me to go to the bulk store and buy sea salt

the best?? opinion of the aquarist imo.

most widely used. is instant ocean, reef crystals.

i use Tropic Marin Pro Reef

I use oceanic. It seems to dissolve alot faster than instant ocean

been using IO for a few years now and am happy. Biggest differance between it and more expensive brands from what have gathered is you dont need to use as many additives with the more expensive brands

I'm using Reef Crystals. It seems to work good enough and is stable but I'm not crazy about the way the Reef Crystals and IO boosts the ALK so high. I think I'm going to give Tropic Marin Pro a try next time I buy salt mix.
