Salt?

Just wondered where you all get your salt from.
With the higher salt prices through F&S they are still better than anyone else because of their great shipping rates.
Please post on what salt you you are using and where you are getting it from.

Thanks.

I wont need salt for a while stocked up at the old price from F&S. All I can say is F&S seems hard to beat with low shipping charges and watch for when it is on sale.

Sweet!!!! Thanks for the coupon!!!! I need to get some of that. Any issues with swapping salt ? I still have some I O left should I mix the two through the next few water changes?

check this link $33 for 150 gallon box delivered. I tried this once before, But switched to reef crystals for the same price.

If you try multiple boxes 2-5 the price goes up (go figure) must have something to do with shipping weight. The price for shipping maxed out after 3 boxes so for 10 boxes the price is under $26 dollars a box.

Really don't know if these shipping rates are valid for multiple boxes since they max out at 3 boxes. When I bought a long time ago I just got one box for about $30. The next question would be is this salt any good?

crystal sea killed alot of top tanks when tons of people switched to it after the initial shimek aritcle.

So what salt do most of you use, i had good luck with coralife but have been contemplating switching because of availability/pricing.

I have been using Instant Ocean since our system was started last October. Everything has been doing fine, though it seems everyone uses Reef Crystals. Is Instant Ocean that bad? I can not seem to find additional references undermining Instant Ocean. Any additional input would be greatly appreciated.

The Shimek study is inconclusive at best. I would be more inclined to value actual experiences from reef system veterans that switched salt suppliers.
