Saltwater tank on marble floor?

I'm moving this summer to a new house and one of the rooms has a very nice (expensive) marble floor. The tank would look awesome in there but, would that be a good idea? The rest of the rooms have hardwood floors. I don't want to ruin or even stain that marble!!!

Well you'll need to find out if the marble is sealed or not. If it's sealed no issues. If not the water can soak in. But in all reality you'll likely wipe it up before any damage ever occurs.

My new appartment has marble flooring where the tank will go. I know it will stain rapidly as we've had a couple of incidents where coffee was spilled and soaked in before we wiped it out. It did clean up when they polished it with a machine though...
I'm still going on with the tank planned in the room and will just add a few large cartoon or other non absorbing material in sheets to place on the floor during the tank setup and maintenance. The good part is that this will make you work less in the tank...

I have marble tile in my living room and I sealed it when I laid it. I have no stains from my fish tank. If laid properly I wont crack. You should be fine. I think there is a way to test to see if its sealed. You might need to do a search on it.

I would say marble would be fine. can you get it sealed before hand just to be safe? if not you can also get carpet squares to keep the water off of it. d2mini did this around his tank I believe to keep the wood from getting wet.

here is a pic of what I mean from his thread.
