saltwaterfish group buy

Ok, I was going to organize two group buys and post the info about two days ago, but I got busy in the last week and have not been able to do so. I got a bit of info from both of the companies, reeftopia and saltwaterfish.

I have to place an order with saltwaterfish as they have some food for raising larval that I have not been able to find anywhere else and I'm scared they will sell out. Info below.

I am thinking we will delay the reeftopia group buy at least one week. We can discuss this further at the meeting.


So, if anyone wants anything from saltwater fish this is how it is going to work...

They will only take one payment per order, so everyone is going to need to pay me in advance before we place the order. For anyone that is new don’t worry, 90% of the club knows where I work, go to school, and several of you where I live. The easiest way to do this is to send the money to me through pay pal. If what your buying doesn’t cost a fortune I may be able to cover you if you can bring cash to Monday’s meeting, but talk with me first.(email is easiest)

I wanted to get some opinions from people as to when would be the best day to pick things up next Tuesday or Wednesday. Wednesday works a lot better for me now so if that works for everyone let me know. I will be placing the order either Sunday or Monday depending on when we want it to delivered.

Regardless I would like to know what everyone wants by Saturday night.(only two days from now) Don’t worry about shipping and handling, box charges, all that crap. There should be little difference as to whether I order by myself or with a bunch of you. I’d rather you guys get in on it so no one pays a lot to have on little thing ordered.

After you post here what you want, and you can add on items through Saturday night. Soon as you post that you want something I would like an e-mail or a pm with your real name and cell phone number. I will respond to your message with my cell phone number and street address so you can find me, if you need I can send directions as well.

The animals have left Florida and are on there way. It probably doesn't mean anything, but I saw a FedEx truck drive through my development at 3pm, hopefully it will get here sooner. Well, that didn't go too bad. I really wish I didn't have to show everyone my tanks and that everyone didn't have to see my poor little angelfish. :-( Cross your fingers for him as his copper shipment and the rest of the dry goods I ordered did not show up yet. I would post a link to the thread about him, but it is on another forum and I am not aloud.

Seems like everything survived accept for one of Chris's(RBTA) clowns. Everyone should post pics of what they took home.

At some point I will get together next months group buy, auto top off switches.

My Flame Angel is a beauty. I went to there web site and they recomend acclimation for 2.5 hours for fish. I did what they recomended so there would be no questions. I picked him up from Craig at 12am and got home at 1:30 am to start. At 4 in the morning I put him in his Qt for his short stay. He was hidding in the cheato. My wife went to check him out this morning and couldn't find him. She scared the crap out of me. He was still hidding in the macro algae. Bright colors, looking good. He seems a little shy yet.

My puffer looks great, still very shy, not eating yet, but I think he should be OK.

I really wish I had ordered a flame angel for myself, I almost called Al at 10 to tell him his fish died so I could keep it for myself. :rollface:

Well my one Bicinctus clown didn't make it much more then 15min into the acclimation. But the other one is doing great and eating everything like a pig, have him in my smaller tank for the time being incase I need to do a fw dip, it seems like the other clown had brook, so just keeping an eye on this guy.

My toadstool leather is starting to open up, but it hasn't completely, but I can't wait, it already has a nice shape to it.

When there is another group order from Saltwaterfish then I want in. I am really happy with my new fish. He was very shy and would not eat a first. Now after 7 days in the Qt he stays out unless I put my hand near the water. Really great colors and he eats while I stand there.

I have to say I will never put a fish in my tank with out a QT. This fish looked healthy but was not an aggressive eater. If I had put him in the main tank he would have not gotton any food because my pigs would have eatten it all.
