Hello RC,
I have a large reef tank that is well established and has these smalll anemones in the sand. There are thousands of them; I should say that I have some sand with the anemones. They have now started to make thier way onto the rocks in said tank. What can I do to resolve this issue.
I have a copperband in the tank but all this one does is terrrorize snails. I have injected the sand with KW this works OK but I need a better method. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Are you referring to Aiptasia sp. anemones? If so, you could try a Pearlscale Butterfly or multiple peppermint shrimp. When injecting with kalkwasser, try mixing in an adhesive like elmer's glue or super glue gel to maximize efficiency.

No, I have seen alot of aiptasia before and these are not it. These are about 1/4-1/2 inch in size and mainly only grow in the sand.

I have not seen these before, but it seems that if they are in the sand then they should be easier to remove. Use a gravel vacuum, or some other similar tool and suck the little monsters out of your tank. You will likely lose a good bit of sand in the process, but from the sound of it, that will be a small price to pay. HTH and best of luck to you :)
