Sand clams???

So i went to the beach today. I found some hermits in the ocean and brought hem back and put them in my tank. And i also found sand clams. Are they alright to put into my tank?? And does anyone know anything about them??

I would advise against it. Mollusks, especially clams and other bivalves, are notorious for harboring pollutants and toxins in them. If they were to die or to be eaten (by human or other) there is a chance that it could effect the individual or the whole tank.
