I bought 40lbs of sand from macro rocks. Now I want to buy another 20lbs of sand. Is it worth to buy the sand from the bag? I have all dry rock and was wondering if you buy the sand from the bag you get anything live in it?
Try to find dry sand in a bag. Those bags of "live" sand sit in warehouses and stores for who knows how long. Save the $$ and go with dry, it'll turn live after a while.
Just get regular dry sand and seed the dry rock with a few pieces of live rock. The sand will become "live sand" on it's own. The live sand in a bag is mostly marketing hype.
