Im looking for a skimmer that I can sump mount into a 5.5 gallon sump and after almost giving up I ran across the JBJ sapphire skimmer, I only have 15 inches of available height to fit a skimmer, will the 24 fit this height requirement and I still be able to lift of the collection cup?
I see the height listed at 12 and with cup 14.5 but I do not see a pic of the cup and cannot tell how much room it will need to be removed.
Also does anyone forsee a problem tapping into the collection cup for external drain?
Has anyone relocated the supply pump from under the skimmer and mounted to the side( I know it will have more restriction, but maybe a larger pump can be made to fill the void and give me more height)
I am assuming the water flows out from the corner diagnally across from the collection cup(hole)........
