sarcophyton lighting ?

Coral Samurai
Hello all, I am setting up a 40g cube, 20x20x24 and want to put some soft corals in the system. I currently have 2x24 t5s on it, is this enough lighting to keep a few soft corals or zoas in the top third of the tank? [I have no interest in putting any stony corals in this particular system.] can someone tell me if this will be adequate lighting for a sarcophyton and maybe some ricordia and zoanthids?

sarc need strong light. mine is under 2x 150w MH + 2 T5. not sure u have enough to let if flourish, maybe survive. if u can double it, it woulkd be better

sarc need strong light

I would disagree with need, I have one in a tank with 80 watts NO flourescent lights which has the same color, growth, and polyp extension as the parent which is under 250 watt MH lighting. Sarcophyton IMO are very adaptable.

So sarcophyton yes, ricordia yes, zoas ? I havent had very good luck with zoas under any lighting scheme
