Save my leather!

I've had a green polyp mushroom leather for a year now it came on a rock with two random zoos I didn't buy. It's been doing OK but now it's completely closed, has been for 4 days. I don't know if it caught a stray tenticle from my anemone or what. All my other corals are untouched and flourishing. Should I frag it off the rock and move it?any advice would be great. Thanks
Tom

I would leave it for now mine closes sometimes then puts off some mucous and then looks happier then ever. More info would help though. Type of lights, a picture, tank parameters, etc

I agree , leave it as it is and wait to see what happens. Mine have closed up for 7 days at a time and then reopen on their own.

M parameters are pretty stable nitrites <5 salinity 1.025, mag around 1400 Cal 350 alk 8ish. I have an 80 gallon cube now with 2 kessil 360we running at 40 intensity and 10% color for 10hours and 2t5s that are on for 4hours with 1 ati purple+ and one actinic. Like I said...this is the only coral with an issue. Guess I'll wait and see

This is normal for a toadstool leather. I have one that does this every couple weeks, it will be closed for 2-4 days then shed. This is the way the coral keeps itself clean of algae and other gunk trying to grow on it that is not turned off by the chems it produces.

Mine does the same thing. First time it happened i was sure that it was a goner. next day it opened up and looked better than ever.

Thanks everyone! It opened back up, not quite back to normal, but definitely on the mend. Whewww! That was a close one
