I'm assuming the thin black cardboard is supposed to go between the tank and top of the stand?
So I shouldn't use the cardboard "mat" provided in shipment? I'm about to do my leak test this evening. Planning to fill water up to overflow box and not full inside it so I don't have to plug bulkheads. Thoughts?I'm glad you noticed that. I threw mine away because I didn't know any better. Steve told me to get a 1/4" yoga mat and put it under the tank. I'm glad I did because the weight of all it really squished that mat pretty flat.
It's my first saltwater tank, so I'm not much of a tank conneseier. The glass appears clear (not green) and holes look cleanly drilled. I opted for the oak/plywood stand instead of MDF. It looks sturdy as sh*t and the black coloring looks good. I plan to waterproof inside just in case. As far as packaging, they go all out on the tank. I could have probably jumped on the box and not done anything to the glass inside. [emoji57]How do you like the quality of the tank?
I just received delivery of my 66 gallon pnp. It looks great so far. Stupid question - how do I get sump under thr oak/plywood stand? Do I need to remove the vertical wood support behind cabinet doors? It's blocking the opening of the cabinet....
Thanks!
Interesting.Hmm, I got the 66g PNP back in Dec/Jan and got the upgraded plywood stand and it has no center support in the front. Interesting. Must be a design change.
