Scat and aiptasia

Saw them for sale at my LFS for a decent price and was wondering what the success rate for them eating aiptasia. Don't know the exact species, but they all look very healthy and match the appearance of google image of the ones that eat aiptasia.
Tried Berghias and after a month and a half, it looks like they either got eaten or to slow to make a dent.
I also bought 6 peppermint shrimp (not the camel...bogessi? species) from 2 different LFS and they dont even attempt to eat them, its been 3 weeks.
Did the kalk paste and was maybe a little aggressive with the treatment, and burnt the tips of some of my acros. This works the best but is tedious and some aips need a triple dose.
Scats are my last resort before I nuke my tank from orbit.
Experiences? Thanks

The Vivid Aquariums guy talked about these fish in his video on aiptasia. I've never seen one. Peppermint shrimp have done pretty well for me.

Yeah these are the brackish fish fully acclimated to saltwater conditions. They have been known to eat aiptasia. Im guessing they are not widely used to eliminate aiptasia. Probably not worth trying then.
Is aiptasia x just a kalk paste?

Aiptasia Eating File Fish worked great for me the first time till my Sixline killed it. Once I catch the sixline I will be getting another one.

Not sure what it is. It works well if you can get enough in the aips mouth. For aips that can tuck back into holes, it's less effective. The best aiptasia control I ever had was a CBB - but they are tough to keep as other fish easily out-compete them for food.

Try the filefish and the CBB first. Filefish is probably a better long-term solution as they are easier to keep. CBBs are easy to catch (at least mine was) - you could try one and if he's not eating, sell him back to the LFS or another reefer.

Aiptasia x is THE BEST. And at 10 bucks a bottle you can not beat it. I still have the majority of my battle and was able to exterminate the 60+ population of aiptasia that I had.

Boiling water, lemon juice, or boiling lemon juice injected or sprayed from a hypodermic needle are also tools to consider before the nuke option.

i always had issues with aiptasia-x but i'm positive it was user error lol. switched to a file fish and he cleaned out my 225g in under a month. cool fish to watch go into chameleon mode also. half the time i can't find him and he's right in front of me.

Biomek, is that matted filefish?
I see you have a mixed reef. Any clams? Filefish ever start looking at any coral?
considering getting one for my aiptasia outbreak.
