Scoly help please

I bought a very sweet little Scoly a few days ago and I think maybe I should have passed. It is showing quite a bit of "teeth", moreso than when I bought it. I have it fairly low in my T5 lit tank and in fair/moderate flow. It was attached to a bit of rock and I attached it to rock in my tank since my diamond goby leaves NOTHING alone on the sand. I've tried getting it to feed without any luck. Suggestions?? Sorry in advance for the very poor picture.

Some don't inflate much and some just take a while to settle in. I would try keeping it in less light, though. A lot of the large single polyp corals are found in deeper water or under overhangs. They will inflate their tissue to increase their surface area to catch more light.

A very amazing thing to me, about LPS, is how fast they can look tons better after a good meal. I finally got my little guy to take in some food and I can't believe the difference in a few hours. He still looks too skinny and toothy but I think he has a chance with a lot of TLC.

Lovely zoa's in your avatar, which variety are they?

Glad to hear it's looking better. Scolys are some of my favs.

The zoas are a very rare variety called "Turds on a Stick." $125/polyp. 8)

Actually, I have no clue what they are called, but thanks for the compliments. I like them, too.
